The Mobile Pantry at Garfield Elementary is an emergency food pantry operated at the school in a partnership with St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry in Corvallis, Linn-Benton Food Share, and Garfield Elementary School. It is open one Saturday each month from 10 am to noon for people in the Garfield neighborhood (or if from other areas of Corvallis, if they have children attending Garfield).
To qualify for emergency food assistance, the family’s income must be at or below 185% of the federal poverty line. This is a “shopping style” pantry, which means people select the foods their families can use. The Pantry is lucky to be able to offer lots of fresh and frozen produce, as well as some household supplies, in addition to canned goods, bread and meat.
Following are the dates for the Mobile Pantry for the remainder of our school year:
Saturdays, 10 am – 12 noon
If you or your student need access to additional community resources, please contact the CHS office or Family Support coordinator Chris Hawkins at 541-757-4352.
