He played well enough at Stanford that he was the Washington Redskins’ fifth round pick in the NFL draft and is now with the Minnesota Vikings.  Brad is now with the Oakland Raiders. Brad plans on going to grad school after a few years to continue his education.

Laura Davis-Pinney (81) — passed away at home in Camas on her 43rd birthday, July 12, 2006.  Southern Oregon State College (1981-1983), Pennsylvania State University (BS in Criminal Justice in 1991).  Laura worked in investigation, security, and law enforcement.  She also held a private investigator certification.  Laura was a graduate of the Oregon State Police Academy and Board of Police Standards and Training.  She married James E. Pinney in 1987 and they were divorced in 2004.  She deeply loved her son and took great joy in him and his life.  She is survived her son, Hayden Pinney of Vancouver; mother and step-father, Carolyn and Thomas Maresh of Bend, OR; brother and sister, Benjamin and Jacqueline Davis of Longview, WA; step brothers, Scott Maresh of New Castle, WA and Blake Maresh of Olympia, WA and grandparents, Ellen and Cecil Smith of Portland, OR.  She was preceded in death by her father William Davis.

The title of his thesis was :  “ Homogenization in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Blow-Up in Bacterial Chemotaxis.”  Thesis won the Kurt O Friedrichs Prize for Outstanding Dissertation in mathematics.  Dr. Hand has just started a Post-Doctorate position in the Computer Science Department at Arizona State University.  Undergrad work at California Institute of Technology, 2002 Goldwater Scholar. 4.0 GPA in applied and computational mathematics.

Hood National Forest, Hood River Ranger District, completing archaeological survey, and supervised 16 insane undergraduate students for archaeological field school in Skagway/Dyea, Alaska, with the OSU Anthropology Department.  Historic Archaeologist with Archaeological Consulting Services, Ltd., Tempe, AZ, 2001-2002.  From 2002-present, Tribal Archaeologist with the Confederated Tribes of the Warm Springs Reservation of Oregon, working on-reservation, but primarily off-reservation on the Tribe’s ceded and usual-and-accustomed lands.  Married August, 2004, to Brad Whitcomb, Jefferson County Middle School teacher, teaching self-contained 6th grade, and his two children Morgan (9) and Conor (6).  Wedding took place at the old ampitheater at the Cloud Cap – Tilly Jane Historic District on the east flank of Mt.
